The Steward’S Carnival
It started with a group of friends coming together - As most amazing things do.
The Steward’s Carnival was originally envisioned by Jeremy Sanders. tired of festivals that lacked real community, permaculture and nature, the idea to have a intimate gathering of friends with wellbeing and spiritual workshops combined with music was born.
In November 2020, a group of 25 friends gathered at Just Love Forest to share the gifts they had. Yoga, breathwork, martial arts, forest therapy, sound healing, adobe building, traditional fertility rites and ritual were some of the things shared during the day. As the sun set, a bonfire atop Bhakti Mountain with electronic music held a healthy shared vibe of celebration throughout the night.
That group of friends organically grew and this is the third year we’ve thoughtfully expanded out ability to include more people in something that remains special and real. Our intention is to hold a sacred space in nature that is welcome, heartfelt and filled with meaningful moments of fun and music.
What to expect
The vibe is like hanging out with your friends in a beautiful forest. Think less wristbands and more circles for sharing. Think less sponsors and more spontaneity. Think less trying to escape from life and more people who are sharing the magic of life.
Experience 20+ workshops from facilitators of diverse backgrounds spanning, yogic, permaculture, ecological and spiritual lineages as well as electronic and acoustic music performances at night. This year’s theme is Yin and Yang and will center around the harmonious blending of the divergent forces of the universe.
There are less than 100 people at this event by design, including all the facilitators, volunteers and attendees. You will get to know many people on a personal basis and we hope you’ll remain forest friends for a long time.
You can self camp under the beautiful canopy of trees. This keeps us all cooler than you’d expect, even in late summer. You may choose to stay in a small number of hosted bell tents if you don't have your own gear.
We offer thoughtful and healthy vegan food options. Food isn’t available a la carte. You must choose to have all meals provided in advance or you bring your own. If you self camp or prepare your own food, you’ll need to ensure that you bring all of your own equipment needed.
Hot showers, filtered municipal water and toilets are all part of the Just Love Forest Ecovillage.
People arrive at 4pm on Friday before our opening gathering at 8:30pm.
Those called to Just Love Forest come with the communal energy of “how can I help?” You’ll be part of a tribe supporting each other in this beautiful shared experience.
