A Day in the Forest

Deepening Your Practice and Finding Balance

A Day-Long Silent Retreat in Just Love Forest

Come experience a day of embodied meditation experiences slowly being guided in nature using all of your senses.

The practice of guided and walking forest meditations will reconnect your spirit and boost your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Meditation is an ancient practice that has volumes of studies and science showing how it helps you reconnect and clear the mind, reducing stress, anxiety and depression.

We’re offering a special donation-based full day program on Saturday, May 14th.

It can be hard to find your rhythm when you first start a meditation practice. Often it’s difficult to find the time, to get settled deeply, or maybe you just aren’t sure you’re doing it correctly. This retreat is designed to help you get over those early hurdles, gain confidence in your meditation ability, and deepen your practice.

This will be a silent retreat with about 6 hours of practice time. There will be periods of sitting and walking meditation, as well as a provided lunch for eating meditation.

Going on retreats of any length is helpful for our spiritual practice. Whether you are just starting out or have been practicing for decades, taking the time to settle deeply on retreat can help reset and reorient the mind.

This will be lead by meditation teacher Mitch Poe:

I have been practicing meditation for 6 years. Within the first year it had made such a remarkable difference in my life that I knew I wanted to teach meditation to others. For the last year I have been studying with the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program presented by The Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley under the guidance of my teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. I am very grateful to all who participate. Thank you all very much!
